Can I use the bot without being a server admin?

Yes. “Add to my apps” installs Overseer for your Discord account: you can use the commands in any server and in DMs, without adding the bot to a server.

Where do the hero builds come from?

From Divine and Immortal ranked games of the last seven days: the most common skill orders, items and talents in each position, with their pick and win rates. Other rank brackets can be picked with the rank option of /hero.

Why does the bot find no matches for a player?

Dota 2 only shares match data of players who turned on “Expose Public Match Data” in the game's social settings. Turn it on, play a game, and the matches appear.

Which permissions does the bot need?

Only reading and writing in the channels where commands are used, with embeds and emojis. It does not read your messages; it only answers its own commands.
